SOLO 1 - SWIM PROGRAM
Children learn to swim 1 km unassisted with great stroke.
The Solo-1 name originates from the main objective of our program, and that is for our students to swim unassisted (solo) for 1 kilometre. The program is aimed not just at talented or natural swimmers, but everyone including those who initially find swimming challenging. The Aquatic Achievers' Solo-1 program is made up of 14 skill levels. Each level advances your child's skills, step by step in an easy, achievable progression, from the age of 3 months through to 12 years. You and your child will know exactly what it takes to progress through our program and swim one kilometre, unassisted.

Solo-1 Level progression
The Solo-1 program is divided up into 5 sections;
1. Baby achievers 2. Solo achievers 3. Learn To Swim achievers 4. Stroke Correction achievers 5. Squad achievers
Each has been specifically designed to meet the developmental, physical and physiological needs of the children who are in the section.

WATER SAFETY
Aquatic Achievers believes that the best way to prevent drownings is to always supervise your children, and to teach them to swim well. We conduct safety weeks 3-4 times a year where students participate in a class fully clothed, a situation which may arise in every day life. Safety weeks not only teach children new skills, but show parents that sometimes their child is not as water-safe as they thought.

GOLD SILVER BRONZE CLUB
Once children reach the Sharks level, they can participate in our Gold, Silver, Bronze club. Here swimmers have the chance to show off and test their freestyle technique over longer distances.
Bronze - 300 meters Silver – 500 metres Gold – 1000 metres
CERTIFICATES
The Aquatic Achievers certificates is an integral part of our program. Children receive acknowledgment of achievement through a certificate when they have displayed an ability to perform the skills required in that level. The child then moves onto the next level and begins learning new skills to continue being challenged.

SUB CLUB
One of our most popular events for Squad swimmers is the Sub Club. Every two months Aquatic Achievers swimmers have the chance to swim at Chandler or Aspley and have their event timed. Performances are recorded and children are encouraged to note their time and attempt to beat it next time they swim. The atmosphere we create is not one of competition amongst kids, but rather encouragement and congratulations for having a go! Children often become quite nervous their first few times, which is perfect. This means they are experiencing the pre-race nerves and learning valuable lessons on how to deal with them. One of the reasons our swimmers perform so well at school carnivals is because they are better equipped to deal with nerves than their classmates.
