TESTIMONIALS

"I can't speak highly enough of Aquatic Achievers. We are so impressed by the teaching, reception and supervising staff at both Chandler and Gumdale and by the fact that the centre always goes the extra mile to help our children. Both our sons have been supported by extra teachers in their class, the offer of extra lessons, and expert advice from supervisors when they have been having difficulties. There has always been a special effort made to help us find suitable times, and to assist...

"Over the many years I have been going to Chandler I would like to say THANK YOU to The friendly staff at the front counter - it was a pleasure to be greeted with such happy smiling faces - I will never forget how you always made me and my girl feel so important and welcomed. The swimming teachers - your professionalism and dedication to your students is over and above what I have ever seen. You all should be very proud of yourselves. Once again I would like to THANK YOU all for ever...

"Hi There, I just wanted to compliment a few staff members at your pool. We have been going there for around 3 years now. Maria stands out as a very lovely face at reception. She is very warm and friendly and always willing to help. We also have had much to do with Vicki first as a teacher and then as a face around the pool and we’ve found her to be very friendly and enjoyed speaking to her. As our children have moved up and changed teachers we’ve never had a problem with any ...

I have to laugh, my daughter Sophie (aged 4) told me over the dinner table that whilst she was waiting her turn to swim she was "watching Pej teach a new boy to swim and he did really well" I said "that's great I'm sure his mummy and daddy will be really proud of him". Sophie looked at me and said, "Why does Pej's Mummy and Daddy come to watch him teach us?" It turns out that she though Pej was the one doing well at teaching and not the little boy’s swimming ef...

My daughter Chelsea loves and I mean loves aquatic achievers Gumdale. She has been swimming there for 3 years and amazes me on how great she is going. When she went from Breathers to Mini sharks they told us WOW she is going up quickly when we didn’t think any flippers would fit her. You hear of children having tantrums going in the pool I can tell you I'm surprised she hasn’t had one when its time to get as she never wants leave. We even now go to Chandler at night to swim m...

My daughter, Mia who is 6 has a bit of a 'crush' on her swim teacher at Gumdale, Cale. We went in for an extra lesson on a Saturday and she asked if Cale would be teaching her. When I explained that it wasn't her usual class and probably not. She replied, "That's ok plus sometimes he is late”. I said I had never seen him late, she said "Oh yeah, he is late because he is busy Hi-5'ing all of his friends!" Bahahahahatoo funny. I think a favourite game of hers is Cale making t...

Jack has been having swimming lessons at Aspley, with Natasha. He is currently a 'SPLASHER'! He loves his swimming soooooo much we have to lie on the bed every night and sing our swimming songs, rather than a bedtime song! Kicking our legs and paddling our hands in our house before he goes to sleep.

I am not confident in the water, and due to ear troubles as a child have never had a swimming lesson. I didn’t want the same for my daughter Jamison, so I enrolled her in lessons when was 4mths old. She's now 20mths and loves her lessons with Katie at Aspley and has confidence and great skills.

Michelle B – Aspley Parent
My second daughter has been swimming at Sunnybank Hills since she was 3 months old and is now loving the water. She gets more confident every time she is in the water and the instructors have been wonderful at letting her do it at her own pace. My daughter has loved swimming so much and it has been a very worthy investment...when she fell into a pool at 20 months old, she knew exactly what to do thanks to what she learnt at Aquatic Achievers Swim Schools. Thanks for providing my kids with a safe...

There is a new branch of aquatic achievers being run every night at 5.30 in our bathroom. Our daughter Leah loves her lessons at chandler and her swim instructor Amanda so much that each night she runs lessons for her toys. Each toy is lined up on the edge of the bath and waits for Leah to call their name before being pushed into the bath. Each toy is encouraged to paddle and kick, keep their eyes down and swim to the island. We even have to say goodbye to everyone and give the toys high fives b...

Our daughter Alivia has been going to Chandler for a while now. We were very proud when she was swimming in my brother’s pool and was able to swim along side her cousins who are all older than her. One of her cousins had floaties on to help her swim and she is 2 years older.

Our 4 children swim Aquatic Achievers Aspley Rhys has progressed finally after 2 years of LTS elsewhere, it’s fantastic and he is now LOVING swimming! Haydn @ Dog paddlers and didn’t like it very much AT ALL having no previous swimming he wouldn’t even let the water go to his knees anywhere we went, but the staff (Jess, Anita & Tracey) persevered with his screaming and after I added a 2nd lesson he now loves his lessons, I never thought I’d see the day H put his head under the water ...

We have been swimming at the Chandler pool with both of our boys since they were 6 months old as we thought living in Australia it is such a vital and life saving skill! Watching our oldest the other day (Mr. Hamish who is two) in his Grandmother's pool I decided to watch him to see what he did and he fell off the step into the pool. After realising that he couldn't see us he turned around and went back to the step...a wonderful skill learnt at Aquatic Achievers!!

Both my kids love swimming at the Aspley Centre, Patrick who is 4. Is in Breathers and practices his swimming in the bath and get water everywhere. So his little sister Steffi has to join in as well. Steffi is in Splashers. One day at her lesson. She had a mouth full of water as she has always got her head under the water. I didn't see her with the water in her mouth. She went to give me a kiss and spate the water over my mouth. So we both just laugh. I was ready for the next one. LOL

Jessica graduated Cassie's "Squirts" class today at Chandler. So proud! But we are going to miss Cassie! Good luck Luke and William... see you when you graduate soon. We look forward to learning some new water safety skills in "Splashers" next week!

We have been going to North Lakes AASS for a couple of months. It has been the best move for my daughter who has ADHD and is on the Autism Spectrum. The staff is pro active, caring and supportive of her and as a result she has developed her swimming in leaps and bounds not to mention her confidence. Proudest swimming moment ALL OF THEM!!!! Thanks heaps guys and gals :)

Elizabeth loves swimming lessons every week and gets so excited when we arrive at Chandler every week. All the instructors and staff are so friendly and make a real effort to make you feel welcome every week. Elizabeth has shown an increase in her water confidence and skills already! We only started lessons in May this year - Thank you Aquatic Achievers!!!

We go to North Lakes. My Son Sean (22 months) has been swimming since the centre opened and loves it, my daughter Jamie (4 months old) started today and enjoyed it. A cute moment was when she went under water and continued to suck her thumb. I love the smiles the kids have when they come up out of the water.

My almost 4-year-old daughter Mia has been attending the Aspley centre since she was about 18 months old. She loves going to swimming lessons every Tuesday night and looks forward to it all week. Mia loves to swim and whenever we go on holidays, Mia spends most of her time in the water - we always get comments from total strangers about what a good swimmer she is. The staff at the centre are so friendly and know you when you walk in. I have recently had another daughter (Ruby is 3 weeks old) and...

When I first enrolled Hayley into swimming lessons (being a late swimmer) she was terrified, but I was advised by the instructors the magic number is "4" after 4 lessons, Hayley did not cry or fret and has never looked back since in fact Hayley has just jumped up two classes and sooo looks forward to her swimming lessons. I absolutely applauded Aquatic Achievers at Gumdale, Hayley loves Miss Jodie and Miss Marie!

Naomie Hewitt – Gumdale Parent

We love swimming at Aquatic Achievers Chandler. We have a Super Seal and a new graduate to Squids! It's so wonderful to see the looks on our girl's faces when they get their certificate, they're so proud of themselves, and so are we! We have high praise for the swim teachers and the staff, all very professional and fun too! Thanks for looking after us so well!

When I was at primary school two local children drowned in the backyard of their grandparents home, I walked past that house everyday as a child. When we knew we were expecting our first child and with a pool in the yard of her grandparents, swimming lessons were an absolute priority. We have been with Aquatic Achievers for nearly a decade now, all three of our kids have been at the swim school and we wouldn't contemplate going anywhere else. Some of the staff remember our big kids as babies an...

OUR PROUDEST Moment: Our then three (3) year old son, Sam was playing in our pool with his 11yr old cousin, Nick, whilst my husband watched on from outside the fence. Matt looked up and watched as Sam stood up to jump onto a big blow up turtle held by Nick. Just as he was about to land on the turtle it moved, and Sam went off the turtle and into the water. As he landed in the water, instead of panicking, Sam turned his body to the side of the pool and paddle kicked to the edge. Just as my husba...

My son Jamie is a Splasher at Aspley he absolutely loves it and Jane is great. We recently went to Fiji on holidays and Jamie was swimming every day. We had a lady near us ask how old he was. When we said 11 months she was amazed at how well he could swim. We said he went to swim classes. She then turned around and said how her 2-year-old grandson couldn't swim and always wore floaties. Her daughter was across from me a she just tried to look away. We are very proud of our little Splasher!

In 1981 when I was just 13 months old I fell into the family pool. I was found floating face down and rushed to hospital. Luckily I survived. Now with my own child I know how important it is to learn to swim from an early age. Audrey started swimming at 3 months old and now about to turn 1, she still continues her weekly lessons at Sunnybank Hills Aquatic Achievers with the wonderful Janine. I think starting early has helped prevent the fear of water and absorb to learn the basics of safety. It ...

My daughter Alexia (5 ½ years) started swimming at Aquatic Achievers Sunnybank Hills at 3 months old. She is now in Tiger sharks and attends 1 lesson at Sunnybank and 1 lesson Saturday morning at Chandler. I am so happy that she loves attending lessons and I can only attribute that to the brilliant staff at both centres. As a parent I think the proudest moment is Alexia’s first school swimming lesson at Prep earlier this year, I was so happy to see Alexia plucked out of the lesson at the earl...

Isabella started having swimming lessons at 7mths old and continued until her baby sister was born and Mummy needed a break from the lessons! She started back at Gumdale, and attends swimming lessons twice a week and is catching up very quickly thanks to some very talented swim instructors :) She quickly discovered that things had changed in the time she had off lessons, when she was under the showers she shouted out to me (and everyone around her) "Mum, I'm really grown up now, I'm not e...

I love the program and the people at Aquatic Achievers! In just the 6 months since we started at North Lakes, both of my children have progressed amazingly; my son from barely able to dog paddle - he starts in the "Arms" group next week, and my girl has gone from a Splasher to a seal! Can't wait to see their continued progress!!!

Vikki Woodward – North Lakes Parent
WOW we LOVE the staff at North Lakes. My three children love going to lessons each week and love all teachers they have had. Alice and Hamish are twins and it can be hard to find 2 places all the time but not for Brooke or Amanda who always helped me find the classes with the instructor’s we wanted. Josie my 5 year old is now is Mini Sharks and swimming beautifully thank to Kim S and the twins have had great results in such a short amount of time. Thank you North Lakes Instructors you guys are...

My son Hayden Bulowski-Hillier started with Aquatic Achievers at the age of 18 months, and now at the age of four he is having a blast in the pool or at the beach. Great job Aquatic Achievers and Thank You.

My Daughter just loves swimming at Aquatic Achievers Sunnybank Hills. She definitely makes Pez earn his money that's for sure! I love watching the progress she makes and how excited she gets when she has a good lesson. Bella has also taken quite a liking to Saxon :) it's quite funny to watch her get a little star struck every time she sees him! Her reaction gives us all a chuckle. Great staff and fantastic atmosphere! I couldn't ask for a better swim school.

Bec Ringuet – Sunnybank Hills Parent
My three boys have all attended swimming lessons from a young age with Aquatic Achievers. We started at Aspley in 2006 and transferred to North Lakes when it opened last year. We have had our ups and downs over the years and gone through our fair share of fantastic teachers. One thing that remains consistent is the friendly faces and the willingness and enthusiasm of the staff. All of the time and effort really pays off when you witness your 18-month-old fall into a pool and instantly, without p...

I went to an orientation at Sunnybank Hills with my 3-month-old daughter on Saturday and we had a great time! The staff were very helpful and friendly. I even received a follow up call today to see if I was happy how everything went. I can't wait to sign her up as she loved her baths and loved her first swim in the pool! Thanks Aquatic Achievers :)

Last summer we were swimming at Grandma's house. There were 3 adults and my 3 kids under 5. Well, all went well until time to get out. In the hustle of getting them out, finding towels, and drying them etc nobody noticed Hannah slip back into the water and try to swim across the pool without her floaties on. Suddenly grandma saw and yelled out and I jumped back in and grabbed her in time. She was treading water but going down silently. I have no doubt that without continual swimming lessons fro...

Swimming at Gumdale is awesome. The trainers are great and lessons are a lovely time to bond with my nearly 2yr/o, Leilia. It's great seeing her water confidence and skills build, and we are excited at the new and fun things she'll be learning as she begins her Squids class this week. I look forward to classes with my new son as he gets older :)

Kelly Elms – Gumdale Parent
My son has always been frightened of the water since 6 months. All bath times have been a screaming match. We were desperate for him to have lessons, but were so worried about how he would react. He DID react how we imagined, and swimming was hell for all involved for the first while, but thanks to Aspley Aquatic Achievers and our lovely teacher Natasha and Rosemary, He has progressed so much, and now doesn't scream the whole lesson. Onwards and upwards!

Shannon Al Samaraie – Aspley Parent
We love Aquatic Achievers North Lakes and have been swimming since it opened. Ethan loves his lessons and we are so proud of his achievements. Keep up the great work North Lakes; your staff and service are the BEST!!

Julie Verschoyle – North Lakes Parent
I don't really have a story :) Except that my nearly-2yr/o loves swimming, it's a joy swimming with her, I love how lessons are a bonding time, and it's awesome seeing other people's responses and comments about how young they can begin learning to swim :) Thanks Aquatic Achievers :)

Kelly Elms – Aquatic Achievers Parent
We love swimming with everyone at Gumdale, it's a great part of our week! Billy loves his Dog Paddlers class, and Molly and I think our Splashers class is the best! The kids have so much fun, and have made some great friends, all while learning an important life skill, we couldn't be happier!!

My son was enrolled at Aquatic Achievers North Lakes. When his coach Kim had taken him as far as she could, she recommended he take up squad swimming. My son was sad to leave Kim, as she is wonderful with the children. He started squad swimming and when he was being tested to see which squad he would go into the coach commented that he had beautiful strokes and had been taught well. First competitive meet and he qualified for the Brisbane Short Course Championships. This would not have been poss...

At 4 years old, Rachel amazes me often, Doing big arms and back floats for real; But my proudest moment was when she was 2, And she started her time as a Seal. Those cute little kiddies lined up on the ledge, All patiently waiting their turn... 'Twas the first time she'd been in the pool without mum Like a big kid, she'd listen and learn. And now I have Stephen, and he's just turned 2 He's in Squids class for now, and that's cool... But I really can't wait 'til he moves up to Seals...

My two boys have been coming to Aspley for over 5 years now. Brayden (9) started in Dog Paddlers and is now in Juniors. Ethan (7) started in Splashers and is now in Sharks. I love how the program works and how my boys are always way ahead of their classmates at school. I absolutely enjoyed teaching the kids (especially the babies) the program that I still rave about to anyone that will listen! Safety week lessons are vital...perfect example is Ethan when he was about 5 was swimming in a pool one...

Our two children have been at Aquatic Achievers Chandler since Sept last year and they just love it. It gets them into a healthy routine and teaches them not only the different strokes, but also discipline. Our 5-year-old daughter today advanced to an upper level, and you could see her proud face when she received her diploma. If our children are happy, we are happy!!!

Felipe Carrasco – Chandler Parent
Before we started at Aquatic Achievers North Lakes, we had sent our children to a swim school at the local public pool. While the teachers were good, and the kids enjoyed their lessons, I still felt worried, because they weren't teaching a child what to do if they fell into the water and couldn't see the edge. The school changed its hours and fee structure, and as my youngest (18mths) was ready to learn to swim, I thought we'd change schools. This was just 6 months ago. It is amazing the leve...

We have been with aquatic achievers gumdale for over 4 years now. By the age of 3 my daughter could swim competently by herself in any pool. People would often ask me how old she was and could not believe how capable she was. At the age of 3 we took her snorkeling off Lady Musgrave Island. My son fell into our pool when he was 2 and was able to get himself back to the side. Aquatic achievers have a fantastic skill based program. Swimming lessons is so important and the fact that the kids find it...

We have been attending Aquatic Achievers for a number of years with our 4 children - one thing that we are always told by others when our children were only small toddlers is how well they can swim. At the age of 18 months they could all dive in turn around and swim back to the edge. It is of great importance in a Country like Australia that your children are water wise.

Kristin Heffernan – Chandler Parent
My daughter has coming to Aquatic Achievers at Sunnybank for five years now! Since then she's been joined by younger sister - and very soon her youngest too :) Swimming lessons have always been my husband's 'job'. It's a special 'bonding' experience between Daddy and his girls while they learn to be safe around water.

Wendy Gooch – Sunnybank Hills Parent
Our daughter Charlotte is 3mths,and has just started lessons, twice a week at Sunnybank Hills. The orientation was a great introduction, to what to expect and a chance for me to brush up on my nursery rhymes! The very next week we started our lessons. I had a very proud Mummy moment, seeing our Charlotte go all the way under the water:) they float!! She especially loves the Humpty Dumpty fall, however is not yet keen on the tunnel :) Now for Dad to get in and start singing those nursery rhymes.

Tennielle Sullivan – Sunnybank Hills Parent
We don't have a specific swimming story to tell, however, I would like to thank the staff at Chandler for giving my girls an amazing love of swimming. Before starting at Aquatic Achievers we were at another swim school. Since we weren't seeing much progress we decided to give you a try. It has been the best decision we have ever made!! Not only have the girls made significant progress with their swimming, they absolutely LOVE it!! They look forward to their lesson every week and of course, th...

My son, 'C', started swimming with the great instructors at the Sunnybank Hills Centre when he was 3 months old. We have been going ever since. When he was about 2 years old he was in the pool area with my husband 'helping' him clean the pool and I was at the kitchen sink, which looks out onto the pool. 'C' was fully clothed and he fell in. My husband saw it happen but before he was even able to reach him 'C' had turned around and grabbed onto the side of the pool. I cannot tell you what...

I have liked the Aquatic achievers swim school however my daughter Jordyn Dean had different ideas about liking swimming at the North Lakes centre. Poor instructor Libby had Jordyn screaming for the whole half an hour and for most of the month. Libby has been amazing in helping Jordyn to enjoy her swimming lesson and now comes with a massive smile on her face. We as parents are amazed at how far she has come and poor Libby and the rest of the staff and paying customers can now enjoy...

My daughter, Jessica was just three months old when we turned up at Chandler for our Orientation session, we then commenced swimming lessons with Cassie in early January this year. Six months on Jessica is doing really well. Our goal is to have Jessica graduate from "Squirts" to "Splashers" by the time she turns 1! Having a pool at home spurred us on to teach Jessica to swim and Laurie Lawrence's DVD assisted with conditioning Jessica before she started at Chand...

All our swimming lessons at Sunnybank Hills Aquatic Achievers were made worthwhile when our daughters Bella (5) and Lillielle (just 3) were let into our townhouse complex pool by an older (taller) child last Christmas Holidays. Our daughters and a 5 year old friend who was visiting for a play date (and luckily has also had swimming lessons at Sunnybank Hills Aquatic Achievers) all went in and were happily swimming in the pool without adult supervision for about 1 minute. I have just found your page, and wanted to say how fantastic we have found all your instructors at the Sunnybank Hill's centre. Having come from the UK where our kids were both on waiting lists for 2 year (yes I kid you not!) we are thrilled at the progress both our girls have made and if someone had told me 6 months ago that our eldest would be taking part in a swim meet I wouldn't have believed them. Sub Club is a great way to encourage the kids and we can't wait for the next meet. THANKS...
